Connection
of social networking sites (e.g. member profiles) and Amazon. The general
idea is to use sites with content and collaborative filtering to feed into
sites where this information i useful in making connections.
One example would be to connect the Amazon.com book (music, video, etc.) recommendations to a dating website such as Match.com. The member's book matches would reveal a tremendous amount about the member without ANY DATA ENTRY at all. And even better, as the member's interests change, so would their profile, automatically. This could form part of member's profile and also be used in automatic networking matching (more complicated). There are a number of details that would need to be handled (e.g. how much editing is allowed), permissions, etc. but the basic concept is very straightforward.
On Ryze, a
similar connection could be done with various website, Amazon.com again for
books (especially if the books could be categorized as
professional/business/technical vs. pleasure). Again this could form part
of member's Ryze profile and also be used in automatic networking matching
(more complicated).
In WorkingPersona, the software I would like to build, the scenario would be the same as above.
